Festivus!

I really thought Festivus was celebrated a few days AFTER Christmas. I really thought part of the reasoning for making the alternative holiday was to take advantage of the post-Christmas sales. Somehow I was mistaken. As I have just researched, the date is Dec. 23rd. Don't understand how I did that. Is is appropriate to celebrate it late? Well, there's always next year.
